How to Use Wireless Charging in Your Honda

Honda’s wireless charging solution can be turned on and off by a power button. A green light will indicate the system is on and ready to be used. When a device is placed on the unit the amber light will illuminate, indicating that charging is in progress.

If the amber light does not come on, you may need to adjust the position of your phone for the charging coils to be aligned.

Once charging is complete and the battery has reached 100%, the green light will come on again.

Before using the wireless charger, always make sure the charging pad is clear of other objects – especially metallic items.

iPhone Compatibility

The genuine OEM Honda charging system is compatible with the universal Qi phone standard. All Qi-enabled smartphones including the iPhone 8 and iPhone X can be charged directly from the charging mat, with the exclusion of larger size devices like the iPhone 8 Plus and Samsung S8 Plus. These phone types may not fit.

Apple iPhone models prior to the iPhone 8 will need a wireless charging accessory like the Aircharge ‘Made for iPhone’ Wireless Charging Case to enable the device to work with Qi chargers.

How to Prevent Damage to the Device, or Unsafe Situations

• Do not attach a metal object to the charger.
• Do not use the charger when it is covered with a towel, layer of dust, etc.
• Do not allow the charger to get wet from water, beverages, etc.
• Do not wipe the charger with oils, alcohol, benzene, thinners, etc.
• Do not expose the charger to hair sprays, insecticides, etc.
• Do not use the charger if it is malfunctioning. In the unlikely event that the charger emits smoke, abnormal odors, or unusual sounds, stop use immediately.
